Graduated from The Ohio State University with a BA in Organization and Interpersonal Communications. She participated in various sports in college and high school. She served as camp sports instructor before beginning a career as a physical education teacher and sports coach. She has taught at The Village School for the past sixteen years, serving as the athletic director and girls’ coach for volleyball and softball. She has brought the volleyball championship to the school ten times during her tenure. She is an avid sports enthusiast and a wonderful role model for girls’ sports.
DIEDRE SHEPHERD

Shepherd graduated from Sam Houston State University with a BA in Accounting. In 2002, she received an MBA with Accounting concentration from the University of St. Thomas. Shepherd has worked in the Mutual Fund Investments industry for 8 years. She is a member of the National Black MBA Association and has been involved in school mentorship programs.
BOB TUCKER
Vice President Labor Relations, Western Hemisphere
BP America
Bob has worked for BP America for the past 30 years and is currently Vice President of Labor Relations. Bob has served on Boards for numerous civic and charitable organizations including the Houston Symphony, Theater Under the Stars, Advisory Board of the Center for Human Resource Excellence at Texas A&M University.
Bob will serve on the Board on a Fund Raising capacity to provide broad business experience. In addition to his civic and work experience, Bob holds both BBA and MBA degrees.
STUDENT ADVISORS:
Carolyn Baker Carolyn is a junior at Thurgood Marshall High School. She is OH/MB for her school as well as a 3 year member of Houston Juniors. She maintains solid A's and high B's academically.
Ali Tucker Ali is a sophomore at The Kinkaid School. She participates in varsity level sports in volleyball, basketball and lacrosse and has played on the Houston Juniors national 14 and 15 teams. She maintains solid A's and high B's academically. |
